KENYA (Nairobi)

The Nairobi Waldorf School is looking for an experienced Waldorf Teacher to take the position of Head Teacher. Most of the teachers in the school are inexperienced, first time Waldorf teachers and we feel that we have now developed to such a level that it is quite a challenge for our teachers to teach their grades for the first time and manage the running of the school. We are therefore looking for someone who can take on the administrative and financial running of the school as well as mentoring and faculty enrichment. If you are drawn to our multicultural school, our dedicated and enthusiastic young faculty, our beautiful country and would like to get involved in helping a developing school move to the next level please contact Diana Smit at . You can find more information about our school on www.nairobiwaldorfschool.org.

United Kingdom (Forest Row, East Sussex, England)

We are asking the most fundamental questions about the future of Waldorf teacher training. What is needed today and how should we go about meeting the needs? Emerson College is looking for a dynamic, qualified individual to lead our full time teacher training as of September 2008. This could be seen as a one year interim position as our research and questions unfold, or this could be the opportunity for an individual with ideas and initiative to both lead the program and help us craft a new vision for 2009 and beyond.

Successful candidates will have both Class Teacher experience in a Waldorf School and some experience as an adult educator in lecturing in anthroposophical subjects. They will be able to show that they are able to network successfully within the worldwide Waldorf school movement in order to identify the training needs.

Salary to be negotiated. Please send your letter of application, CV and names of two references by April 30th to:

Yvette Dellesperger, ( )
Emerson College, Forest Row,
